#50 A Follow Friday Post | These Are the People I Blog/Twitter Stalk and You Should Too!

I started blogging for a lot of reasons. Reason one, I talk too much and my friends/Fi are very sick of hearing me drone on about flowers and tablecloths. Reason two, wedding planning is STRESSFUL!! I needed to find people who feel my pain, who share my excitement, and understand when I’m a little eensy teensy bit off my rocker. Reason three, I needed some new sources of inspiration to get my champagne wedding on a Sam Adams budget (I almost wrote Busch Light but that would just be a blatant lie.) I found all the things I was hoping to find, but I also found this amazing, wonderful, supportive, HILARIOUS, group of people who I love spending my day with. Even if it is just virtually. So today, since it is #FF, I decided to shout out the bloggers and tweeps I love to stalk and why!!

The Bloggettes:

1. The Knotty Bride – Ohhhh Alison. The amount her posts make me laugh is inappropriate for the workplace. (The content is occasionally inappropriate for the workplace as well which makes it all the more delicious!) In addition to posting some of the most stunning, creative, and AMAZEBALLS weddings, engagement, and my new fav boudoir shoots, Alison infuses everything on her blog with her knotty personality and crazy amazing sense of humor. She’s so wonderful, that I’m certain you are all already reading her, and if you’re not, umm wow, just go over there please. Thanks. (Follow @theknottybride)

2. Lovely Little Details – I’m not sure if it’s the Connecticut connection, or the obsession with the tiny details that make every wedding/event personal and amazing, but Jacin’s blog makes me infinitely happy. She has a great series on her blog called Bloggers Unveiled, where you get to meet the peeps behind the blogs. I’m kinda sorta totally obsessed with it. Also, she’s got a sister blog called Darling Little Details chock full of babies and beautiful round baby bellies!!!! OK, you can’t tell because blogs aren’t live, but I totally just got stuck looking at babies on DLD for 10 minutes. :) (Follow @LovelyDetails & @Darling_Details)

3. Kiss My Tulle – Cris from Kiss My Tulle is planning her wedding as well. Her blog is loaded with amazing advice and DIY projects that will keep your weekends full. I just saw she has a post today on No Sew Bunting. Looks like I know what I’ll be doing this weekend. In addition to her blog, she’s an amazing person to chat with on Twitter. She’s always cheering on other TWIPS and will help you with anything (even helping find a MOB dress for my impossible mother!) (Follow @KissMyTulle)

4. Big Day for 10K – Nicole (though she may not know it) is actually the reason I got into wedding blogging. I was on Facebook with about 4 months til my wedding, feeling overwhelmed, under prepared, and alone. I saw an ad on the side of the page for her blog, and although I don’t remember exactly what it said, I remember instantly clicking on it (and I NEVER click on Facebook ads). After reading a few (dozen) of her posts I said “OMG… There are people out there like me! Who get it! OMG I need a blog. NOW.” I still read her blog on the daily and thank her for introducing me to this world I now so deeply adore. (Follow @bigdayfor10k)

5. Whimsy Wedding Day – Hooray for Shana! My fellow July bride! She’s an amazing person to share the EEK! with. She posts awesome DIY projects, inspiration, and even yummy recipes, but my favorite thing is just how genuine she is in her blog. So head over there and leave her some comments lovelies! And don’t forget to wish her luck… she’s getting married next month!!! (Follow @Shanawhimsy)

The Tweeps (aka Twitter Peeps!)

1. @SerendipityCand & @SerendipityTrav – Sorry I had to put you two on the same line, but you’re married, so deal with it! Candice and Travis have gotten shout outs on my blog before (here), but if you don’t know, Candice shoots uh-maze-ing photos and Travis makes videos that are just OK. HAHAHAHAHA JUST KIDDING! He’s ridiculously good, which is why I hired him to shoot my wedding video. DUH. (ps. I would have hired Candice to do my photos if I had known her last year when I booked my photog and signed a contract. shucks.) They are so fun to chat with on Twitter and I’m soooo excitedddd to meet them in person one month from tomorrowwwwww!

2. @TheNameIsCasie – I try to keep the number of Yankees fans I am friends with to a minimum (I live in CT now but I’m a MASSHOLE born and raised lovahs. GO SOX!) but this chick just had to make the cut. She’s a wedding photographer who lives in Orlando and she’s a hoot.

3. @FreyFotos – I must love photographers, cuz here’s the third one on this list! Jess is a photog from Canada (EH!) and she’s another one of the supportive ladies that I love to Twitter stalk!

4. @DMOFilms – Matt from DMO Films is a fellow Connecian? Connecticuter? Whatever, he’s from Connecticut too! He makes awesome wedding videos and you should follow him!

YAY! So there’s my list. Hope you like it. Should I be following (stalking) you? Let me know. I love new blogs and new tweeps! I’m off to the dentist then planning a surprise breakfast for E tomorrow (his 28th bday is exactly one month from our wedding day!) The BMs and momma will be here Sunday to help with wedding stuff and I’m soooo excited! (There will be lots of pictures next week.)

Have an amazing weekend my loves!
